Hi everyone!
Last Thursday the shnatties regrouped after their winter break period, the majority of whom (if not everyone!) spent their time in warm and sunny Eilat.
On Friday morning, the shnatties set off for Habo History Seminar. This seminar looks at the history of Habonim Dror, by visiting kibbutzim Habonim Dror has established throughout history and speaking with many vatikim (former movement members), hearing about the HD in their day. There is also the opportunity to learn about the crisis in the kibbutz movement, and examine how this has affected HD today. This seminar allows the shnatties to have a new perspective and see new elements of the movement.
Next weekend, Friday 11th and Saturday 12th, the shnatties have an intensive kvutsa relationships seminar which will take place in a hostel in Jerusalem.
On Sunday 13th, the Kaveret preparation seminar, and on the 16th they will move into Holon for Kaveret portion of shnat. The first few days in Holon is are dedicated to unpacking, setting up their house, and getting to know their city. As the tzevet (staff) are all on seminars with the shnatties for the next few weeks, updates to this blog might be a little less frequent. Please feel free to email the HDUK offices if you have any questions.
